The Wildlife Preserve at the HaHa Nokomis represents a major upgrade over the Wildlife Park of the HaHa Fairfax. In addition to enjoying the antics of the animals inside our property, including our super-friendly Havanese pup, Lightspeed Lily and her new little sister, also a Havanese, Rocketship Rosie*, you’ll be able to observe a great variety of wildlife in the surrounding Preserves.
The Wildlife Preserve around us is also home to Bald Eagles, alligators, egrets, sandhill cranes, turtles, wild rabbits, lizards, frogs, cows (yes, cows) and more. See how many you can spot on your next visit!
And as fearsome as our two dogs may be, they are easily tamed with cheese. But beware of the entomological fauna, they can bite and they’re everywhere here in sunny Florida!
*Rosie came to us as a new little puppy in late 2022 several months after our senior Lion Dog (Shih Tzu) Kung Fu Katie passed away at the age of 16 years in May 2022. Katie will be missed and remembered always.
